YWCA of New Castle County- supporting women in business
It’s hard enough starting a business venture no matter who you are. It’s good to know there are organizations out there who will help you out when you need it. One of those organizations that focuses on the needs of women is the Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA).
The YWCA is a national women’s membership movement. Strengthened by diversity, they draw together members who strive to create opportunities for women’s growth, leadership, and power in order to attain a common vision: peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all people.
Throughout their history the YWCA has been in the forefront of most major movements in the United States as a pioneer in race relations, labor union representation, and the empowerment of women.
Visit their website to see a timeline of history from 1855 though 2004.
