World Financial Network Bank (WFNB) Allocates Initial Funding To Wilmington, Del., Non-Profits
World Financial Network Bank (WFNB), a private-label and co-branded credit card bank subsidiary of Alliance Data, recently announced that it will contribute $100,000 through the end of 2011 to non-profit organizations in the Wilmington area. WFNB, which recently relocated its charter to Delaware, will continue its legacy of community support by focusing on organizations that have demonstrated measurable results in the areas of improving financial literacy; affordable housing; and small business development and job training.
“We are excited to call Wilmington home, and look forward to helping deserving organizations in need, both in terms of financial support as well as associate volunteerism,” said Jay Coane, vice president and chief financial officer of WFNB. “Volunteering and donating to charitable organizations is deeply rooted in our bank’s philosophy, and we believe in supporting efforts that make measurable improvement in individuals’ lives, further the development of local economy, and better our society overall.”
