Wilmington Women in Business (WWB) is celebrating their 30 Year Anniversary next month!
The Wilmington Women in Business (WWB) provides a forum for local professional women to share their wisdom and knowledge with colleagues, make new relationships through networking or simply feel part of an extraordinary group of women with similar goals. They offer monthly networking, education or leadership programs open to professional women of all ages, diverse occupations and economic backgrounds.
Next month the WWB is celebrating its 30th anniversary and they’d like to invite you to join them in celebrating!
What: WWB 30 Year Anniversary Celebration
Where: University and Whist Club, 805 North Broom Street, Wilmington
When: Thursday, September 23, 2010
WWB established the Fresh Start Scholarship Foundation in 1996. Through the foundation’s charitable donations, we have awarded scholarships based on need, academic performance and potential for success. If you are a professional woman looking to advance your career or empower other women in your field, you do not want to miss this evening!
The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. with registration, cocktails and networking. At 6:30 p.m. we will kick off our event with dinner and a review of the WWB history and how it became one of the oldest and largest resource network for women in the region. More details to come!
The key note speaker for the evening is Joni Silverstein. She is currently the Director of Delaware Girls Initiative (DGI), a program of the Delaware Center for Justice. Joni has a long history as an executive in the newspaper industry, serving as Vice President/Market Development for the newspaper division of Gannett Company Inc., President and Publisher of Gannett’s Delmarva Media Group and prior to that Vice President/Market Development for The News Journal in Wilmington, DE.
