Wall Street Loves Delaware
Maybe it’s the strong economy. Maybe it’s the moderate overall debt burden. Maybe it’s the excellent fiscal management. Or maybe it’s Jake’s Hamburgers. No matter what the reason, this year marks the 11th consecutive time that the AAA bond ratings have been bestowed upon Delaware by the three major rating agencies.
A Triple A rating means that the state will likely do well in the sale of General Obligation Bonds. The proceeds from these sales pay for state projects such as the construction of schools and libraries at a very low interest rate, which in turn saves the state and taxpayers money.
I like saving money. I like Jake’s Burgers too.
