Upcoming SBIR Gateway Training Program at SCDTC
The Federal Government’s SBIR/STTR grant program is a competitive funding source that awards over $2.3 Billion every year to small businesses that are developing technologies that federal agencies such as the Department of Defense, National Science Foundation, Department of Energy, and other agencies consider important. In order to be successful with SBIR, the technology must be both commercializable and a topic of interest to one of the participating federal agencies.
The Delaware SBIR Gateway Program is a selective and in-depth program that will cover all the steps necessary for winning SBIR grants with participating federal agencies. In addition to the two-day workshop, the Gateway Program includes one-on-one consultations with SBIR experts who will guide you through the proposal process, including scientific and editorial review of your proposal and final federal grant application. The program’s consulting services are FREE-of-charge, as well.
The SBTDC’s next SBIR/STTR Workshop will be held on September 20 and 21, 2011, from 8:30AM – 4:30PM both days, at the Delaware Biotechnology Institute in Newark, DE. Special focus will be given to Department of Energy’s (DOE) SBIR program as well as other federal agency programs. The workshop is FREE-of-charge and sponsored by the Delaware Small Business and Technology Development Center’s (DSBTDC) SBIR Gateway Program. Bhramara Tirupati, of Biotechnology Business Consultants, Ann Arbor, MI, an SBIR consulting firm, will lead the workshop.
