University of Delaware Marketing Blogs
A marketing class at the University of Delaware explored the power of blogging the best way they could. They all started blogs.
Assistant Professor of Marketing, Anu Sivaraman, was quoted in a University of Delaware Daily article on why the students were learning how to blog:
Because blogs are being used more and more in business, we thought it was time that our students get trained in this field. It’s a very marketable skill to have when you go for that first job interview.
I’ll confess that the thought of admitting you have a blog on business isn’t something that many job applicants would mention, even a few short months ago. But, I think that it might be a plus these days.
The class blog Information Technology Applications in Marketing, seems to have shut down for the summer. But, it does have links to the blogs created by students for the class. I took a look at a number of those, hoping that I might find at least one that continued on after the class ended.
No such luck. But, I will say that all of the blogs I looked at were pretty nice looking. I could envision a core business curriculum that encouraged blogging through a four year business degree.
