SCORE is staffed by retired executives and former small business owners who volunteer their time and talents to assist Delaware area entrepreneurs in starting a business or expanding their business through one-on-one counseling and business development workshops. Their primary goal is helping you succeed as a small business enterprise. SCORE® assist over 1300 clients annually in one-on-one free counseling, and holds numerous workshops throughout the year to provide practical business information to individuals.

Do you have what it takes to succeed? This workshop covers approaches used by successful entrepreneurs to
develop and implement a business concept and the personality strengths that are essential to making it happen.

Thinking of Starting Your own Business $35
This workshop covers what you need to know to start a business including business structure, licensing and
registration, accounting, tax and insurance considerations. Why do some businesses succeed and others fail?
July 17 – Newark Senior Center 5:45pm-8:45pm
Effective Business Plan Writing Made Easy $70
Every business needs a business plan. This two-session workshop covers the preparation of a business
plan including the overall strategy, market planning, and the financial projections required by lenders.
An experienced SCORE leader will get you started on your plan. A workbook is included.
