SBA Delaware District Office Seeks Small Business Week Award Nominations
The U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Delaware District Office is seeking applications for its 2012 Small Business Week Awards. The awards will be presented at SBA’s Small Business Week Awards Dinner next May in Wilmington.
The awards recognize small business owners and champions in the following categories:
Small Business Persons of the Year: Nominees for small business persons of the year must own and operate or bear principal responsibility for operating a small business, and have been in business at least three years. Partners of four our less may be nominated as a “team.” Nominees, other than Entrepreneurial Success, are not required to have received SBA assistance.
SBA Young Entrepreneur -Must not have reached the age of 30 by June 1, 2012.
Small Business Champions of the Year: Small Business Champion category awards may be individuals or organizations dedicated to supporting small businesses.
Anyone is eligible to nominate a business owner or champion and self-nominations are encouraged. An independent selection committee will judge the nominations. The state winners, will be judged at the regional and national levels for possible additional recognition. The deadline for nominations is Friday, November 25, 2011.
