Revival of the Association of Chambers of Commerce of Delaware
He wants to help Delaware Entrepreneurs. His name is Ron Walker.
Check out today’s edition of the News Journal, where Angie Basiouny authored the story on him which can be read in the In The Spotlight section of the paper.
” I really believe that small business is the engine that runs America.”
I guess thinking like that is why Ron Walker is the president of the New Castle Count Chamber of Commerce.
True entrepreneurs, he says, find a better way, a faster way, a more productive way.
“There is this enthusiasm that naturally rubs off on you when you’re working around entrepreneurs,” Walker said. “They are always positive and always looking for ways to make it happen.”
Clearly, Ron Walker does understand what makes people want to go into business for themselves.
Mr. Walker is working in conjunction with fellow presidents Judy Diogo of the Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce and James A. Wolfe of the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce to coordinate the gathering of Delaware’s 15 separate Chambers of Commerce in a powerhouse meeting scheduled for April 29th at Dover Downs. The purpose of this meeting to speak with “one voice” to the state legislature regarding issues that affect Delaware businesses- regardless of the county that business is located in. For example, the chambers would like to see legislation enacted changing Delaware’s high workers compensation rates, and replacement or repeal of the gross-receipts tax.
A friendlier business environment?
Sounds like a one good reason to check out your local Chamber of Commerce.
If you agree, show them your support and find more reasons to join the fight.
