Public Hearing scheduled for 9/27/05 on Bank of America’s Application to Acquire MBNA

From the Office of the State Bank Commissioner:

The State Bank Commissioner has scheduled a public hearing on Tuesday, September 27, 2005 to consider the application by Bank of America Corporation to acquire MBNA America Bank, National Association and MBNA America Delaware, National Association, each a national banking association with its principal office in Wilmington, Delaware. The hearing is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. on September 27 in the Third Floor Conference Room of the Carvel State Office Building, 820 North French Street, Wilmington, Delaware. The hearing is open to the public and interested parties are invited to submit written comments, appear at the hearing and/or present evidence.
