Less than 48 hours left to file your Delaware Franchise Tax and Annual Report!
That’s right. If you are a corporation or an exempt entity, you have an annual report filing responsibility by March 1st of each year. What’s more, you may also owe a franchise tax.
And no, ‘franchise tax’ has nothing to do with owning or operating a franchise of any sort- it’s just the way Delaware indicates you need to pay a fee to renew your corporate charter. That fee may be as low as $75.00, or as high as $180,000.00. It depends on things like the total number of authorized shares and your total gross assets.
