Latin American Community Center Update – August 2009

Immigration Lawyers at the LACC Bilingual (Spanish-English) immigration attorneys Steve Planzer and Nina Qureshi are available to assist clients with immigration issues. Mr. Planzer is at the LACC every Monday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Ms. Qureshi is there every other Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m. No appointments are necessary, but call to make sure attorneys are present. Adult Education/English as a Second Language (ESL) program The Calvary Presbyterian Church provides classroom space for the LACC’s Adult Education/English as a Second Language (ESL) program, and Rev. Bob Richardson tutors language learners. The church’s Peach Festival and Community Day is set for Sunday, August 23, 2009, at 11:30 a.m., intersection of Boxwood Road & Maryland Ave., Newport.
