Joe Biden and Delaware’s Bankruptcy Industry

There has been a lot of national press this week about Joe Biden and his influence in the world of Bankruptcy. Here’s a quick link to a few stories if you are having trouble keeping up:

None of these articles seem to be singing the praises of Joe and by implication, the Delaware courts. Not that anyone who understood what really goes on with respect to the reputation of the Delaware Court System would care. Delaware has been ranked the #1 overall legal system in the country for 7 years in a row, and it wasn’t because they have the backing of their US senator.

All of that aside, this is an old issue. Biden responded to his critics back in 2005 with an article published in LegalTimes.com

Strangely silent on all of this is the local press and Delaware’s legal community.
