Idaho Legislature Adopts Resolution & Recognizes Prominence of Tater Tots
Did you ever wonder what your tax dollars were doing?
Idaho residents may want to keep tabs on what’s going in their legislature.
I’m all for having fun at your job, and there’s nothing wrong with a little pride in your home State, but this is definitely over the top.
In what appears to be a stunning turn of events, HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 29 has quickly sped it’s way through the legislature after meeting with what appears to be no resistance at all.
What’s HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 29 you say?
It’s definitely worth the time it takes to read it- here’s the idea in a nut shell:
The purpose of this resolution is to recognize and commend Jared
and Jerusha Hess for their cinematic talents by which they have
increased the nation’s awareness of Idaho.
For those who are not in the know, Jared and Jerusha Hess wrote and produced the movie “NAPOLEON DYNAMITE.”
I think it is safe to say that this bit of legislation takes the idea of advertising and product placement to a whole new level.
Maybe someday it will even make product placement the hall of fame.
Congrats guys!
I wonder if the Delaware legislature will recognize me in my efforts here someday…

- The IRS puts Small Business under the microscope (again)
I sort of looked at that resolution as the kind of lovable, silly, safe kind of law that everyone could agree to, and that draws people together
If you keep on eye on the US Congress, and Senate, you’ll see resolutions like this fairly often.
Though, if it weren’t such an enjoyable little movie, I’d probably feel less positive about the whole thing.
