Fox Rothschild LLP Grows Financial Restructuring & Bankruptcy Practice in Delaware
Fox Rothschild LLP has announced that Jeffrey M. Schlerf and Eric M. Sutty have joined the firm’s Financial Restructuring & Bankruptcy Practice, resident in the Wilmington, Delaware, office as partners.

Recognized by Chambers USA as a leader in the bankruptcy field, Schlerf is the former chairman of Bayard, P.A. He maintains a diverse practice in the areas of commercial bankruptcy, restructurings, insolvencies, liquidations, loan workouts, commercial litigation and mediation. Schlerf’s clients include debtors, creditors’ committees, trustees, secured and unsecured creditors, purchasers and litigants in federal and state courts. He is a member of the Mediation Panel for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware and is certified as a mediator by the Delaware Superior Court.
Schlerf has over 20 years of professional experience relating to the financial industry. Prior to attending law school, Schlerf worked as an economist in the public sector at the Federal Reserve and subsequently for a large financial institution. Schlerf received his J.D. from the College of William and Mary, Marshall-Wythe School of Law in 1991; an M.A. from the University of Delaware in 1983, and a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1982. He is admitted to practice in Delaware and Pennsylvania.
Sutty, who was a former associate at Bayard, concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate bankruptcy, creditors’ rights and commercial litigation. He has represented the interests of all types of parties in many large bankruptcy cases in Delaware.
Sutty received his J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2000, and his M.B.A. from the University of Baltimore Merrick School of Business that same year. He obtained his B.B.A. from the College of William and Mary in 1994. Sutty is admitted to practice in Delaware.
