The Delaware SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives) Chapter offers an ongoing series of workshops that cover essential skills required to successfully Startup and Operate a Business. Here are this months classes:
Series of Three Workshops – $100
How to Succeed in Business
February 7 – Newark Senior Center, 5:45 to 8:45 p.m.
Cost: $35
Do you have what it takes to succeed? This workshop covers approaches used by successful entrepreneurs to develop and implement a business concept and the personality strengths that are essential to making it happen.
Thinking of Starting Your own Business
February 14 – Newark Senior Center, 5:45 to 8:45 p.m.
Cost: $35
This workshop covers what you need to know to start a business including business structure, licensing and registration, accounting, tax and insurance considerations. Why do some businesses succeed and others fail?
Effective Business Plan Writing Made Easy
February 21 & 28 – Newark Senior Center, 5:45 to 8:45 p.m.
Cost: $70
Every business needs a business plan. This two session workshop covers the preparation of a business plan including the overall strategy, market planning, and the financial projections required by lenders. An experienced SCORE leader will get you started on your plan. A workbook is included.
