Robert E. Buccini, co-founder of The Buccini/Pollin Group, has been named the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce’s 2006 Entrepreneur of the Year. Throughout Wilmington and beyond, Buccini/Pollin owned properties are changing the landscape of the region. Recently, Buccini/Pollin celebrated the “topping-out” of the WSFS Financial Center building located at 500 Delaware Avenue. Another landmark project includes the residential project located on the Wilmington Riverfront. The project is comprised of a 22-story and 25-story residential tower, plus 63 elegant townhomes, all of which provide residents with spectacular waterfront views, plus access to restaurants and Wilmington ’s central business district. The Residences at Rodney Square, The Residences at City Center, Café Mezzanotte, Sugarfoot, the Corner Market, The National and Costa’s Grill & Wine Bar are all located within buildings re-developed by this entrepreneurial firm.
