Nozi Hamidi, Ashland Hercules Water Technologies
Nozi Hamidi is Director of Global Marketing for the utility water treatment business of Ashland Hercules Water Technologies. Her background is in corporate strategy and mergers & acquisitions for a variety of Ashland’s businesses. Prior to Ashland, she worked in sales, marketing, and environmental engineering roles for American Electric Power. A graduate of Ohio University (B.S. Chemical Engineering) and Capital University (M.B.A.), she is also a professional mentor for The Ohio State University’s Women in Engineering (WiE) program.
Gerald Kauffman, University of Delaware
Gerald Kauffman is Director of the University of Delaware – Water Resource Agency and holds faculty appointments in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and School of Public Policy. Mr. Kauffman holds a B.S. degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Rutgers University and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Delaware School of Public Policy and is completing a Ph.D. in Coastal Watershed Management in the UD College of Earth, Ocean and Environment. Since the drought of 1999, Jerry has served as Delaware’s first Water Coordinator (Water Master) as appointed by the Delaware Water Supply Coordinating Council Act. He has served as Delaware co-chair of the Christina Basin Clean Water Partnership since 1995, a period interspersed with three droughts and two 100 year floods. Since 1999, Professor Kauffman has taught undergraduate courses in water resources engineering, hydrology, and hydraulics and graduate courses in watershed management and policy. Jerry co-authored a book on water resources engineering with a colleague fromt he University of Wyoming and is writing a second book on sustainable watershed management. Jerry is a Registered Professional Engineer in Delaware and has been a PE in Illinois, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
Dr. Meenakshi Sundar, Air Liquide
M. Sundar (Meenakshi Sundar) is a Sr. International Group Expert belonging to a technical career ladder (also a Group Manager for bioresources) at Air Liquide, Delaware Research and Technology Center. Sundar has been with Air Liquide for a little more than 15 years. All this time he was involved in research areas related to use of gases in bio areas such as Pulp & Paper, Water & Waste Water Treatment, Food and Bio Pharma to name a few. Before Air Liquide he worked with BETZ PaperChem in Jacksonville for several years. He is a graduate of NC State University.
Chris Ungermann, Sanosil International
Mr. Undermann is a senior business executive with extensive experience in global specialty material sales, marketing, product development and manufacturing. He holds a BS degree in Engineering. He has worked in the checmical industry for 20 years and has held several key positions at DuPont in Germany, North Ireland, Switzerland and the United States. He also held an executive management position with a manufacturing company in North Carolina before joining Sanosil Interantional. He has hands-on experience integrating joint ventures and acquisitions and is fluent in German and English.
