Finding what you need when you need it can be a challenge with paper files. But what must you do to file and find information in the digital age? Electronic organizing has its own headaches, especially when important information you need is contained in so many different formats: e-mail, web pages, documents, databases, charts and spreadsheets.
This workshop explores those electronic organizing challenges and provides useful strategies and tools for finding what you need – and getting rid of what you don’t need – on your computer, without taking the drastic step of printing it all out and storing it in paper-based filing systems!
Come learn about the “triage” approach to handling e-mail, best-of-breed desktop search tools, personal information portals and other helpful strategies for getting organized electronically!
