    Hello
I am building my own kitchen cabinets,
a few more doors to go and I will be ready
to put on the counter tops. I would like
to use corian. Visited the dupont sales warehouse
and was told that the kithchen factory
sells to the public. They fabricate and
    do not sell sheets,any advice?
    Sincerely a hard headed woodworker
who wants to build it himself.

    Peter,

I’ve been to the Dupont Sales & Redeployment center before and have seen corian sheets for sale there as depicted in the photos in this post. Though, I don’t know if they changed their policy or not for resale there. In my experience, it is hit or miss. Maybe another reader has some advice for you? Let us know how it works out- good luck!

Took a ride to the Dupont surplus center only to find it closed up. I did not see a sign with new location. It would have been nice if DUPONT took the time to update the website.

      John,

It’s been a while since I was at the surplus center; I’m sorry to hear that you drove out there to find out that it moved!
Did they post a new location for it? We’ll publish it here if you have it.

Also, I’ve heard that there is a MBNA Surplus site (mainly office furniture from what I understand). Though I’ve never personally check it out, I was told it was located at 1318 E. 12th St.; open 9-5 daily.

They did not move, they simply closed. Years ago, around 2010/11. Used to buy a lot of equipment and materials there and actually worked there when it first opened in the 90’s. New management came in (a regular occurrence every 5 years or so) and did not know what they were doing. Fired everyone working there (contract employees) and closed. Very disappointing but that is the way DuPont has become.
