Delaware’s Patent Portfolio
The State of Delaware has long been known as the state in which to incorporate. Now they want to build the reputation as the ideal state for locating a business.
Delaware’s Economic Development Office is making the patents and/or proprietary technology packages available via the Emerging Technology Center to entrepreneurs through licensing as a stimulus for new business creation and attraction within Delaware. The ETC will also provide these entrepreneurs access to low-cost consulting services in the area of business development, product commercialization, legal as well as venture capital through its Service Partner Network.
Actions speak louder than words.
DEDO recently released a selected 27 patents at the 2007 Early Stage East Venture Capital Conference as part of Delaware’s Intellectual Property Business Creation Program portfolio.
DEDO has contracted with the Center for Advanced Technology and Innovation (CATI) to evaluate and assess more than 250 patented technologies from Dupont and Hercules Corporation. In addition, CATI will be assisting DEDO in replicating its technology transfer process in Delaware.
