Delaware Tech Students Showcase Entrepreneurship Skills
Owning your own business takes more than big dreams. Students at Delaware Tech who pursue a degree in entrepreneurship know that a successful business starts with a strong plan. Four Entrepreneurship candidates for graduation who hope to own their own businesses presented their business plans to a panel of Kent County-area judges in May.
Megan Vogl presented her plan to establish the Duck Blind Billiards Bar and Grill – “Duck In and Stick Around.” Anna Henry shared her goal of assisting aspiring musical artists in Delaware and the surrounding area by developing the web-based Garage Band Music Management. Brittany Ellsaesser has a vision to start a non-profit animal sanctuary for exotic pets that people realize they cannot care for properly. Sandra Castro-Dawson graduated from Delaware Tech’s culinary program in 2012. Before completing her degree she decided that she wanted to open her own business and applied for the Entrepreneurship Certificate. Her goal is to open a small cafe in downtown Dover with an organic focused menu.
