Delaware Ranks #1 Again
The Institute for Legal Reform, an extension of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce has released a State by State ranking relating to lawsuit abuse.
The 2007 State Liability Systems Ranking Study was conducted for the
U.S. Chamber Institute for Legal Reform among a national sample of in-house
general counsel or other senior corporate litigators to explore how reasonable
and balanced the tort liability system is perceived to be by U.S. business. The
2007 ranking builds on previous years’ work1 where each year all 50 states are
ranked by those familiar with the litigation environment in that state.
Delaware ranks number one in this report. This is as expected considering the high regard for our Chancery Court system expressed by legal counsel and corporate attorneys across the country. Read the report here (.pdf) or just look over Delaware’s specific ranking here (.html).

For everyone keeping track out there, this is the sixth consecutive year that Delaware has been ranked #1.

I am not sure what it says about lawsuit abuse and politics, but it is interesting.
