Delaware Division of Corporations Receives 2008 Quality Award
Congratulations to The Delaware Division of Corporations for being the recipient of the Gore Award of Excellence, the highest-level award in the state.
The Delaware Quality Award Executive Council and the University of Delaware announced the 2008 recipients of the Delaware Quality Awards earlier this month.
Delaware’s governor, Jack Markell, has been invited to present the awards during the Delaware Quality Award luncheon, held in conjunction with the Delaware Quest for Excellence forum, on Thursday, Feb. 5, at John M. Clayton Hall on the University of Delaware campus in Newark.
So how did they do it?
In a nutshell- good old fashioned values and hard work. The Division of Corporations operates with a state-of-the-art efficiency and their staff provides prompt, friendly and professional service to clients, attorneys, registered agents and others. Accessibility and Customer Service are high priorities to everyone at the Division, especially Corporations Administrator Robert Mathers.
Some highlight for the year 2008:
Customers conducted more than 400,000 paid transactions through the division’s Web site. Delaware became the first corporate jurisdiction to offer live online chat for customers seeking corporate, UCC or tax information.

Not only is the Delaware Division of Corporation efficient, state-of-the-art technologically and a big money-maker for the State of Delaware but, just as important is the fact that the folks who answer the phones there and do the work, are friendly and helpful. Anyone who calls there is treated like a valued customer. This is quite rare for governmental agencies.
Rick,
You are absolutely right about that! The Delaware Division of Corporations is one of the true gems of our State government. The top quality customer service and the high level of accessibility are some the main draws for companies to incorporate in Delaware.
