Delaware Division of Corporations Publishes Public Notice for Void/Cancelled Entities

Every Corporation, Limited Liability Company or other alternative entity formed in the State of Delaware is required to pay an annual franchise tax. If they fail to do so, the state will eventually declare that company’s charter void or cancelled.

Yesterday, the Division of Corporations published their annual list of Void/Cancelled for those entities who failed to pay the annual franchise tax for year 2007 in the News Journal and the Delaware State News.

You can view the list online free of charge from October 25, 2007 until October 31, 2007.

There is more than just price to consider when choosing a company to help you with your Delaware fillings. I have tried 2 different firms. I tried and was unhappy with Harvard Business Services. Their website is http://www.DelawareInc.com. I must say that in my humble opinion they are the worst choice out there. Here is just one example: I got a notice the other day that my annual franchise fee was due. They of course offered to let me pay it on their site. Instead I went directly to Delaware’s official site filed it myself in less than 2 minutes and saved their “surcharge”. I won’t go in to all the details of my disappointment with them but it should be suffice to say that I would rather pay twice as much to go with a leader in the industry like The Company Corporation. Their website is http://www.incorporate.com
