Delaware Division of Corporations Publishes 2008 Annual Report
It’s finally here! Today, The DE Division of Corporations has published their Annual Report for the year 2008.
The worldwide economic decline has had an impact on new business formations. All entity types – including trusts and partnerships – experienced reduced growth in 2008 due to unfavorable global economic trends.

Delaware remained the chosen home of 64% of Fortune 500 companies
Of the 121,628 new entities formed in Delaware in 2008, 67% were LLCs and 24% were corporations.
At the end of 2008, there were over 882,000 active business entities in Delaware – an overall increase of 4.1% over the previous year.
In autumn 2008, the State reached an historic milestone of one domestic entity per Delawarean.
