Delaware BCBS Mass Mailing Your Medical Information to Neighbors
Blue Cross, Blue Shield of Delaware suffered a printing error that sent explanation of benefits letters out with one members name and address on the front and another members explanation of benefits on the reverse. Matt Denn’s office is investigating, but it is hard to imagine this is anything more than a printing error.
The worst part of this kind of thing is that customers have no control of data once lost, and precious little control of how it is treated before it is lost.
