Chrysler Newark Plant Closing is a Redevelopment Opportunity
The Chrysler Assembly Plant and Parts Distribution Center plant located in Newark, Delaware will be shutting down operations at the end of 2009 and upon its decommissioning the campus represents one of the largest developable sites in the State. The campus contains 270 acres of prime land right next to the University of Delaware. The site currently contains over 3.5 million square feet that can be redeveloped or brought to slab condition.
According to an article published today on delawareonline, there is plenty of interest from major players already.

If so, you better hurry. Bids are due in by Thursday, July 31st. UGL Equis in cooperation with Colliers Lanard and Axilbund have been retained as the Exclusive Agent for Chrysler LLC to extend the opportunity to acquire their Newark campus.
