Not so long ago (April 14th), the Small Business & Entrepreneurship Council (SBE Council) published the “Business Tax Index 2009: Best to Worst State Tax Systems for Entrepreneurship and Small Business,” which ranks the 50 states and District of Columbia according to the costs of their tax systems for entrepreneurship and small business.
I’d like to emphasize the following statement:
According to the nation’s leading organization advocating for entrepreneurs, elected officials in the states need to pay careful attention to their state’s competitive position regarding taxes, particularly given the dismal state of the nation’s economy.
Delaware Ranks 21st overall. That’s not so good for the State that claims “It’s Good Being First”.
