The mayor needs to know that adding fluoride chemicals into the water supplies is ineffective at reducing cavities, harmful to your health and a waste of taxdollars.
Children are deficient in calcium a nutrient required for healthy teeth. But most people realize how foolish it would be to add calcium to drinking water – too much is harmful. We all know that.
Well why then is fluoride added to water supplies when just slightly over what dentists claim is optimal is too much and is causing dental fluorosis – white spotted, yellow or brown and sometimes pitted teeth on about 50% of U.S. schoolchildren’s teeth according to federal statistics.
And fluoride is neither a nutrient nor essential to healthy teeth. No American ever was fluoride deficient – in the early 1940’s when fluoridation began or today.
