Annual Taste of Newark
Taste of Newark is the ultimate foodie event in Newark! Guests enjoy the culinary delights of more than 50 Newark restaurants accompanied by the finest area wine distributors.
Featuring over 50 restaurants, 30 wineries, celebrity cooking demonstrations and more, this event will tempt your palate and is sure to please! The spirit of competition generated among our excellent restaurants will bring our chefs to their highest levels!
Fueling the competition is the annual “Iron Chef” style Battle of the Chefs! Now in its fifth year, Newark’s best chefs battle for the title of Newark’s Top Chef with one hour to concoct delectable masterpieces from a secret list of ingredients. Competing this year are Anthony Carnevale II from 16 Mile Taphouse, Jeovany Valle from Caffe Gelato, Mark Chopko from Courtyard Newark, Donny Merrill Jr. from Skipjack, and Jaff Matyger from Taverna Rustic Italian.
