Accugenix Transitions
Accugenix has completed another step of its management transition as Roger Nalepa has been promoted to the position of CEO & President. Former CEO and founding board member Doug Smith has moved to Vice President of Research & Development and will return to his passion. He feels confident with Nalepa taking the reins: “Accugenix is looking to expand, and Roger has the leadership experience and demonstrated success for such a transition.”
Says Roger Nalepa:
“Our skill sets complement one another very well; Doug’s entrepreneurship and technical expertise have made him a leader in cutting-edge technology, whereas my management and international leadership experience have prepared me to coordinate our people to deliver our objectives and strategic vision.”
The Newark based DNA sequencing lab has sales throughout the country and around the world. With estimated revenues over $7m and the new management in place, Accugenix will be moving forward with new initiatives to improve DNA sequencing assays, bacterial and fungal identification libraries, cost, and on-time delivery, and continually innovating solutions to customer problems.
