2nd Annual Delaware Wine & Beer Festival

Plans are shaping up so mark your calendars for this upcoming fall event!

Kent County Tourism is pleased to announce a full slate of wineries and breweries, representing all areas of Delaware, that will be participating in the 2nd Annual Delaware Wine & Beer Festival, set for Sunday, October 23 at Pizzadili Winery & Vineyards, located just off of Route 13 in Felton, a few minutes south of Dover.

Tickets are available online for $25 in advance which includes a souvenir wine or beer glass. Tickets day of, if not sold out, will be $35. Designated driver and under 21 admission is $5 per person. Tickets are available for purchase, be sure to buy early for your souvenir wine or beer glass.

Participating breweries and wineries to date include: 16 Mile Brewing Company, Georgetown; Dogfish Head Craft Brewery, Milton; Evolution Craft Brewing, Delmar; Fenwick Wine Cellars, Fenwick Island; Fordham/Dominion Brewing Company, Dover; Nassau Valley Vineyards, Lewes; Pizzadili Vineyard & Winery, Felton; Stewarts Brewing Company, Bear; Twin Lakes Brewery, Greenville; and Unplugged & Uncorked, Sonata Wines, Millsboro.

Paul Cullen

Former Bad Company bass player Paul Cullen will be the featured entertainment on acoustic guitar.

Music will be provided by Southern Delaware-based musician Paul Cullen, acoustic guitarist. Cullen is the former bassist for the English rock band Bad Company. In addition, he will provide samples and information about his new private label wines, Sonata.

The exclusive national cheese sponsor of the event is Cabot Creamery Cooperative of Vermont, makers of a full line of award-winning cheeses, yougurt, sour cream, cottage cheese and butter. They will provide free cheese samples at the festival.

Exclusive sponsor of the Delaware Artisan Faire that will be held in conjunction with the event will be Angelucci Gallery of Milford. Five fine artisans from Angelucci Gallery will participate in the event along with 20 additional Delaware artisans. Glassware, jewelry, fiber arts, photography, pottery and more will be for show and sale.

Delaware Wine and Ale Trail

The Delaware Wine & Ale Trail is the Premier Sponsor of the event.

Premier sponsor of the festival is the Delaware Wine & Ale Trail, created by the Delaware Tourism Office to promote Delware’s growing wine and beer industry. It is a unique collection of 13 locations throughout Delaware that welcome and educate visitors about the production of Delaware wines and brews.

Exclusive newsprint media sponsor is Delaware State News. Magazine sponsors include Delaware Today, Beer Conisseur and Draft magazine.

Additional activities will include ever-popular keg-tossing competition sponsored by Fordham/Dominion Brewery; corn hole tournaments produced by the Mid-Atlantic Corn Hole Association, winery tours and food and non-alcoholic beverages for sale by Pizzadili Catering.
