Dassault Falcon Expanding in U.S.

Dassault Falcon Aviation, with operations at the New Castle County Airport, is expanding by opening a regional service center in Reno, NV.

The New Castle County airport does a big business in business jet repair, maintenance and “parking”. It can be cheaper for corporations to keep the company jet in Delaware and fly it up when needed, than it is to keep the jet closer to NY. This is, so far, a continuing bright spot in an otherwise bleak economy.

Recognizing the growth potential of the airport’s prime location in the mid-Atlantic region, low operating costs and tax-free status, the DRBA established a separate Airports Division to manage the property and encourage economic development activities. In addition to the New Castle Airport (ILG), the DRBA as operational control over the following aviation facilities: Cape May (NJ) Airport, the Civil Air Terminal at Dover (DE) AFB, the Millville (NJ) Airport and the Delaware Airpark in Dover, DE.

Options include:
Ground lease:
The tenant builds and owns the facility, and it leases the property from the DRBA.
Build-to-suit lease:
The DRBA builds, owns and leases the building and ground to the tenant.
Sale:
DRBA will also sell existing facilities to interested parties.
